Here, you can feel free to pull up an orange acrylic chair at one of the tables or along the sushi bar and enjoy the modern Japanese ambience under cone-shaped drop-down lighting and even grab beer or sake. Or, take your hand roll to go with clever packaging that makes it just as easy to enjoy while strolling around as an ice cream cone. Either way, your hand rolls and sushi are expertly prepared fresh just for you at lightning speed (about 10 – 15 seconds per roll when required ingredients are within reach). .

Since sushi is optimally enjoyed when it is first served, at King Kone, you can truly taste the difference freshness makes. All fish served here is impeccably fresh making this on-the-go sushi place one of the best things ever happen to US. The fish in each hand roll is served in cubes, allowing for maximum exposure of texture and taste that extends throughout the entire kone, not just at the top. All the way to the bottom, you’ll savor every bite enveloped in crispy seaweed, the way hand rolls were truly meant to be devoured. .

Notably different than other places, King Kone offers all hand rolls with a choice of brown or white rice. You can also choose from mini to big regular size hand rolls. You’ll find salmon skin, octopus, tuna, salmon, yellowtail, eel, soft shell crab, roe and more fish selections that all reflect the pinnacle of quality here. For vegetarians or those just starting out, you can ease into sushi with the shitake mushroom kone, shitake avocado cucumber, the California kone without crab or eggplant tempura with carrot tempura, You can also customize your own kone at a la carte prices or add extras like avocado, chives and chili mayonnaise to any of the kones on the menu. Every table is adorned with pump dispenser containers of soy, teriyaki and wasabi & soy sauces, not to mention a shaker of sesame seeds you can add to further customize it to your liking. .

The tuna, chili and masago kone has a zesty, spicy flair that brings out the true taste of the tuna mingling with the masago. The rock shrimp kone (shrimp tempura, mayonnaise, masago and chives) is instantly addictive with its light and crisp fried chunks of shrimp in a very kicky sauce. Mini kone combos (available in 3 or 6 kones) offer an ideal way to sample every prime selection of fish. Other items you must try are the rolls, tempura rolls,seaweed salad, baby octopus, KK hot peppers.

For dessert, nothing beats one of the sweet kones, also available in mini form, consisting of ice cream cones filled with fruit and chocolaty Nutella. There’s also frozen yogurt in either vanilla or green tea. For sweet kones and yogurt, you can top it off your way by adding toppings of M&M’s, brownie pieces, pie crust and granola, to name a few.
